Virgin Media XL (Cable) Description

Virgin Media’s XL (Cable) broadband product is ideal for large households and families, or small businesses. It has unlimited downloads, so you needn’t worry about data allowance, and a super fast broadband connection of 20Mb.

You’ll need to pay a one-off installation fee of £30 to get the plan up and running. After this, customers who take a Virgin Media phone line at £11 per month can benefit from a reduced price for this package of £10 for the first 6 months and £20 a month thereafter. You can still take the XL Broadband package if you don’t sign up for a Virgin Media phone line, but it will cost you £29 a month for the first 12 months, and £36 a month after that.

The plan includes a free wireless router, and once set up you’ll be able to take advantage of 15 free email addresses. The anti-virus software provided free of charge is PC Guard Total, which is one of the best security suites available. It comes complete with antivirus and anti spyware, parental monitors, privacy protection and identity theft control.

You’ll also be able to enjoy up to £300 worth of online freebies every year with Virgin, including features like photo printing and gaming. If you should encounter any problems with the XL Broadband service, Virgin always offer a choice of either online or phone help.
