T-Mobile Mobile Broadband Plus - USB Stick Description

The T-Mobile Broadband Plus plan allows you access to the internet anywhere you might be. You can use it as your standard home internet, as well as being able to connect on the go around the country, whether you’re travelling or need to get connected in various Hotspots across the nation.

You connect quickly and simply by plugging your small T-Mobile device into any available USB port on your laptop or PC, and once connected you’ll get a monthly 3GB fair usage amount and connect at speeds of up to 1.8Mb. 3GB equates to approximately 24,000 web pages, or 600 downloaded song tracks. However, if you do exceed this limit, T-Mobile, unlike some mobile broadband providers, will never charge you. Instead they will contact you in order to place you on a more cost-effective plan for higher usage. This means this is a great plan to get started with if you’re unsure about how much you might actually use mobile broadband.

Described by The Observer as having “the most consistent connection” (22nd June 2008), T-Mobile allow you to make use of their Wi-Fi Hotspots, free of charge, all around the country. Wi-Fi Hotspots are places where you can access a wireless internet connection, such as Starbucks coffee houses, hotels and airports.

The plan is available on three fixed term contract lengths of 12, 18 or 24 months. A 12-month contract will cost you a fixed fee of £20 a month, as well as a £19.99 charge for your USB stick device. An 18-month contract is slightly cheaper at £15 a month and a one-off charge of £14.99 for the device. The 24-month contract is currently running as a special offer at just £10 a month for the first three months (£15 a month thereafter), and there is no charge for the USB stick.
