Orange Home Starter Description

The Orange Home Starter package is a straightforward, functional, low-cost broadband connection, for households that don't want over-complicated or complex broadband plans. The pricing is simple: it's £10.00 per month, or you can take advantage of being an existing Orange pay monthly mobile customer, and the plan won't cost you a penny.

The plan provides you with a decent 8Mbps connection speed, and a respectable 10GB usage allowance. You'll also benefit from being able to have an unlimited number of email addresses, so there'll be plenty for all the family, and there's 150MB of free web space included too. McAfee Privacy Service is incorporated in the package, which helps you manage internet activity on your computer. It enables you to control what your kids see and do online, protect your personal information and keep your PC free from viruses. You'll also receive unlimited free evening and weekend calls to UK landlines from your home phone.

Your wireless router comes free with the plan, and set up is easy. You simply pop the CD into your PC or laptop and follow the onscreen setup instructions. If you're not confident in setting up on your own, you can request a personal call out from Orange, and they'll send someone for an additional one-off charge of £69.99.

The Home Starter Package is available on a minimum term 18 month contract, and year round support is available. Online help is free of charge and a helpline open between the hours of 7am and 7pm is charged at 5p per minute. It's worth being aware that if you encounter any technical difficulties with this plan, the technical helpline is charged at 50p per minute for Home Starter customers.
