02 launches first combined home and mobile broadband package
If you're not shy of 18-month contracts, you could be on to a winner with O2. Its latest
£20-a-month deal offers mobile broadband and home broadband combined.
Anyone buying O2 mobile broadband for £20 a month will also receive the standard O2 home broadband package free for one year. This new deal is a considerable improvement on the previous O2 package, which cost £20 a month for mobile broadband connection alone.
For your money you will receive a 3G mobile dongle, a home landline connection offering speeds up to 8Mbps and a Wi-Fi router. If you require faster speeds, O2 alternatively offers a £7.50 per month discount on premium home packages for one year. Both offers are available until 31st October 2008.
Simultaneously, O2 have announced the launch of a separate product called the O2 Home Broadband Takeaway. This costs £30, and can be purchased from any O2 store. The new concept allows users to set up home broadband themselves, with the package consisting of a wireless router and other hardware. This offers customers the flexibility to set up O2 broadband at home in their own time. Customers are refunded the £30 price tag once the home broadband is up and running.
