Broadband Bundles
There was a time when customers had to buy all other telecommunication services separately from their broadband, which meant paying monthly fees to different providers. Now, there is an easier - and cheaper - way of doing it: broadband bundles.
What are broadband bundles?
Broadband bundles do exactly what they say on the tin, offering broadband bundled with other services for a combined monthly fee.
What other services can I get?
Different companies offer different broadband bundles, but most of them are made up of broadband plus either telephone, television, or both.
What are the advantages of broadband bundles?
As well as making it easier to pay - because you deal with one provider for all the services you use - broadband bundles also make it cheaper. This is because providers are willing to offer discounts on services that are bought together. Look at this example:
- Broadband: Tiscali, £12 a month
- Telephone: BT, £11 a month
- TV: Sky, £17 a month (basic)
Buying these services separately would cost around £40 a month. However, there are a range of broadband bundles that offer all three for a much lower price. Sky, for example, offer a deal called 'See, Surf, Speak' for just £17 a month, which represents a saving of over £20.
Is the sign-up process complicated?
Broadband bundles are generally simple to subscribe to, with the only drawback being the sheer wealth of options offered by providers. With most allowing you to mix and match products and services, the range can seem overwhelming at first. But once you know what you are looking for, the rewards are there for the taking.
Which broadband bundles would suit me?
You should subscribe to packages based on your own usage and tastes. If you never watch television, there is little point in adding it to your broadband subscription. Choose bundles that are going to match your needs.
