Our view
Demon seem to be very much a business-oriented communications company that have added a package to their portfolio for private customers. This, however, isn’t necessarily a bad thing, if their professional and reliable approach to business customers is emulated in their home packages. Look at their website, for example, and it’s all very clear and efficient and business-like. No frills, no fancy animations to try and grab your attention; Demon are a communications company not an entertainment company, that much is clear.
There isn’t a huge range of options available from Demon; just two in fact, Demon Home 8000 and Demon HomeOffice 8000, with the latter being geared, as the name suggests, towards small businesses. They both offer speeds of up to 8Mbps and are both very similar packages, only Demon HomeOffice 8000 comes with a few more features aimed at setting up a web-presence for a business.
Demon basically offer no-frills broadband at reasonable prices but what they lack in cutesy graphics and persuasive charm they make up for with their professional approach and support.
